Farmer Development Programs
What started off as a two-plot demonstration to help local farmers in understanding balanced use of fertilizers, quality seeds and scientific farm management; has turned into a mammoth movement where over 2300 villages have been transformed into beacons of hope & prosperity since inception.
Various promotional & extension programmes were organized with focus primarily on improving soil health, prooting balanced & integrated use of fertilizers to improve N:P:K consumption ratio, educating farmers about the importance of Secondary & micro nutrients, latest agro technology so as to enhance crop productivity through efficient use of fertilizers, water conservation and there by promoting sustainable agriculture.
Save the Soil Campaign was initiated with focus on soil rejuvenation, and crop productivity enhancement for sustainable and environment friendly practices. These efforts have resulted into an average yield increase of 15–25% in various crops; improved soil health & adoption of improved farm techniques.
In order to pass on the knowledge & experience to the next generation, IFFCO has established Professors’ Chairs across various reputed Agricultural Universities and Cooperative Institutions.
