A plant requires around 18 nutrients which are essential for plant growth and development. These nutrients have been classified into Primary, Secondary, and Micronutrients. The nutrients that are primary growth inhibitors and control vital plant processes are known as Primary Nutrients.  Plants require a large quantity of these nutrients for growth and proper functioning. Usually, they obtain these nutrients either from soil or air through various biological processes which may not sufficient for their proper growth and may result in deficiencies.
