Nano Fertiliser Plant - Bangalore
The Nano Fertiliser Plant (NFP), Devanahalli, Bengaluru is IFFCO's first Nano Fertiliser manufacturing facility in Southern India, established with state-of-the-art technology to produce Nano Fertilisers.
The plant enhances IFFCO's production and distribution network, ensuring timely availability of Nano Urea to farmers across Southern India while supporting the growing adoption of Nano Fertilisers in the region. It further reinforces IFFCO's commitment to sustainable agriculture, efficient crop nutrient management and environmental stewardship.
Nano Urea (Liquid), developed through IFFCO's patented Nanotechnology platform after extensive indigenous research and development, is applied as a foliar spray during active crop growth stages. It supplements nitrogen nutrition with enhanced nitrogen use efficiency, thereby reducing dependence on conventional urea while maintaining crop productivity. The technology contributes to sustainable agriculture by minimizing nutrient losses, conserving soil health and reducing the environmental impact of fertiliser application.
The project was initiated with the Bhoomi Poojan on 13.07.2022 in the august presence of the then Hon'ble Chief Minister of Karnataka. Conceived as a Green Manufacturing Facility, the project was completed within the planned schedule, and commercial production commenced on 01.06.2025.
The integrated manufacturing complex has a production capacity of 2.00 lakh bottles of Nano Urea (Liquid) per day and comprises advanced Nano Urea production facilities, HDPE bottle and cap manufacturing, high-speed bottling and packaging lines, an Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS), modern warehousing, utility systems and a NABL-accredited Quality Control Laboratory to ensure stringent quality standards and product consistency.
The Bengaluru Plant exemplifies IFFCO's commitment to innovation, sustainability and manufacturing excellence, setting new benchmarks in Nano Fertiliser production through advanced automation, green engineering and world-class quality standards.
